In 2002 when I was riding on the road in Ali of Tibet, I thought it would be a good experience if one day I rode along the Silk Road to the west, arriving in the Atlantic. Finally I achieved this dream with my lover in 2010. The original idea was to see the rise of the blue civilization and the fading of the yellow civilization, the blend of Eastern and Western cultures. The mutual blending brought incredible enlightenment to each civilization. From the very beginning, we were already captivated and had become curious to find out more about this place. The individuals there really touched me , I was moved by so much more that just the history of the Silk Road. Smiling faces, acts of kindness, it was a warm hug. We witnessed the glory and goodness of humanity. We were deeply saddened every time we saw ALEPPO, the Syrian people who were in battle and killing. This is also depicted in the book the Arabian Nights. Why was there blood flowing, so much suffering in this beautiful and once happy foreign land? Through empathizing and putting ourselves in their situation we had developed a deep understanding of the people there. We hope that one day they, along with the rest of the world, will find peace. Finally, this experience has taught us the value of traveling and exploring other cultures.
